How to RFQ a steel / sheet-metal battery enclosure for prismatic LiFePO4 packs. BattCrate supplies standard enclosure classes and made-to-drawing custom cases. Published pages do not list unverified outer dimensions — size is confirmed per drawing and order.
1. Pick the series class

280/314 Ah cells share a thickness class (~71.7 mm) but brand outlines differ — enclosure fit is confirmed per cell model.
2. What “standard” still needs confirmation
Even on standard SKUs we confirm before order:
- Internal layout (e.g. flat vs 4×2 for 8S)
- Compression / end plates
- BMS mounting position
- Terminal position and type
- Openings / breaker / display window (esp. 16S)
- Colour / surface finish / silkscreen
Sheet thickness, external/internal mm, and weight are confirmed per drawing and order on our listings because we do not publish unverified measurements.
3. Custom enclosure RFQ (BC-ENC-005)
Send at least:
- Dimensioned drawing or sketch (external + internal criticals)
- Cell model and S/P configuration
- Terminal exits and high-current path
- BMS / display / breaker space
- Material preference (if any) and finish
- Quantity
We review cell fit and assembly access against the drawing before quotation. Lead time is subject to written order confirmation after drawing approval.
4. Kit tiers (optional)
Enclosure-only, enclosure + BMS accessories, or enclosure + cells can be quoted as kit tiers — same mechanical confirmation rules apply.
